At the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 students started constructing a new garden area between the library and water tanks. Below is a picture of Ethan Bell with some sweet corn from the first harvest. The plan is to get all the garden beds filled by the end of this term and continue growing seasonal herbs and vegetables that will be used for the whole school cooking and hospitality programs. They will also be holding mini-market days for staff to purchase fresh organic produce at a very cheap price and then give the students the responsibility of putting the money back in to the garden and the school. There's possibly bigger plans down the track of having a community market but we'll start small first!
